During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, actress Tisha Campbell talked about embracing the importance of living in the moment, which led her to reminisce on the time she cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 2Pac.
“Just now I’m starting to – at the age that I am – really look around as it’s happening. I’m in the moment,” Campbell, who was visiting the show with her Act Your Age co-stars, Yvette Nicole Brown and Kym Whitley. “I’m present in it but I wasn’t before. It was a friend of mine named Berkley and he had made me more conscious of living in the moment because I would say random stuff like, ‘Oh yeah, when I made Thanksgiving dinner for 2Pac.’ And he was like, ‘You can’t just say you made Thanksgiving dinner for 2Pac,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s not normal?’ “It was just like me, [my then-husband] Duane [Martin] and he came over and we all just had Thanksgiving [dinner]. It was a bunch of us. I used to have really big parties. Now my parties are like two, three people. I used to cook a lot and so people would just come over… I cooked for like 30 people every single time.”
This isn't the first time the actress has talked about the infamous Thanksgiving dinner. Back in 2016, she also spoke about it with Bossip.
“It’s not really anything,” she said. “It was just me, my husband, Jada, my friend AJ. I was the only one who knew how to cook at the time and I made Thanksgiving dinner and he [Tupac] came over and we were all chilling."
In other 2Pac news, Dear Mama, a docuseries which focuses on Pac and his late mother, activist Afeni Shakur, is set to air on FX in April.
