Red Bull has launched Red Bull 1520, a new channel dedicated to Hip-Hop programming featuring beats, bars, and live performances from rap's next movement. The platform is informed by the artists and movements born from the last five decades of Hip-Hop but focused on the future of rap as a genre.
1520 will showcase exclusive content from Red Bull's various music events across the U.S., as well as original series including Red Bull Spiral and Red Bull Rap IQ. Red Bull Spiral is based on the Japanese format Red Bull Rasen and invites three to four MCs to Red Bull's Los Angeles recording studio to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind cypher. The performance is filmed in one take, and keeps MCs on their toes, as they are challenged to deliver a flawless performance, while cameras spin throughout the studio capturing every moment. LA crew, Coast Contra kicks off the series, and upcoming drops include Ken The Man, Baby Tate, Nana, Buddy, LaRussell, and Kalan.FrFr.
