Trap Jazz: Andscape Documentary Highlights Atlanta Artists' Innovative Genre

Three Atlanta-based musicians are pioneering a new music genre, showcased in Andscape's recently premiered documentary, Trap Jazz.

The documentary focuses on three musicians— Chris Moten, a musical prodigy; Cassius Jay, an acclaimed producer; and Devon “Stixx” Taylor, a globally recognized drummer — delving into the creation of what they call "trap jazz," a blend of trap music and jazz. The documentary is Directed by Sadé Clacken Joseph, and the film trails their push to step into the limelight, with appearances from icons like Quincy Jones, Lalah Hathaway, TI, Big Boi, Yung Joc, and others.

At the L.A. premiere at The Ace Theater, attendees got a chance to check out Trap Jazz live, along with a surprise appearance from R&B singer Chrisette Michele who delivered her rendition of 'Summertime."
