On the latest episode of Fresh Pair with Katty Customs and Just Blaze, The Game had some surprising revelations concerning Dr. Dre's involvement in his career.

"After my last interviews my relationship with Dre is probably paper shredded," he said. "I've always stood on my own and been the bad seed so it's okay. Dre, as instrumental as he was to the introduction of my career to the naked eye or someone on the outside, nobody can tell me what my relationship with Dre is. Only Dre and I can tell you."

Game then went on to detail the level of Dre's hands on involvement in his projects. "Nine times out of ten he's not gonna speak on it, but I'm an open book," the "Hate It Or Love It" rapper said.

He said further, "Even though Dr. Dre signed me - and this is not to take anything from Dr. Dre because my favorite album is The Chronic and my favorite rap group is NWA, Dr. Dre signed me to Aftermath, but he wasn't pressed to put my album out. And I'm not taking shots at Dre, I'm just telling my story. My bad if you're in it."

Game then credits 50 Cent as a proponent in the early stages of his career. "50 came in was like 'He's dope as fuck, I want him in G Unit,' and Jimmy Iovine agreed that was a good idea. I didn't wanna be in G-Unit and that's why you don't see me on the G-Unit album. I was like that official-unofficial member, but me and 50 were so good together that the hits were the hits. Dre didn't do any beats on The Documentary. I didn't say that he didn't oversee it. You want Dre to oversee everything because he's a mastermind at it, but I've never had a Dre beat in my career."
