Sprite has launched a campaign honoring Hip-Hop's 50th anniversary which includes a new limited edition flavor — Lymonade Legacy.
The campaign also includes a just released commercial, Icons Delight, which features three generations of Hip-Hop artists, with Nas, Rakim, Latto, and GloRilla remaking rap's first commercially successful recording, 1979's Rappers Delight by the Sugar Hill Gang.
The commercial features graffiti writers, GloRilla performing on stage, Latto in the recording studio, Rakim teaching in a classroom and Nas sitting on a stoop drinking a Sprite.
“Our resume speaks for itself,” said A.P. Chaney, creative director for Sprite North America. “Sprite took a chance on hip-hop before it was cool, and has always been of the culture, not only for the culture."
