Hip-Hop legends Special Ed, CL Smooth, and Dres of Black Sheep are set to be inducted into the National Hip-Hop Museum.

The ceremony, which will be hosted by Grandmaster Caz and NHHM historian, ROCK THE BELLS writer JayQuan, will feature a live broadcast of Master Gee's SiriusXM Show, Master Gee’s Theatre. The ceremony will also feature a special performance by Special Ed and DJ Akshun Love.

The induction ceremony isn't the only noteworthy event taking place — the NHHM will also celebrate the grand opening of the Hip-Hop Shop and its dispensary Orbit. Limited edition cannabis strains will be released in honor of each inductee, including the Caramel King Kush, the Magnificent OG, and Strobelight Honey Hash.

The Hip-Hop Shop, a 6,000 sq. ft retail and event space opened in January 2023 in Dupont/Adams Morgan. The space boasts the largest selection of Hip-Hop memorabilia on the east coast including, vintage apparel, sneakers, toys, memorabilia, vinyl, and art, and is also home to their newest dispensary, the Orbit Shop. The museum’s dispensaries are the exclusive purveyors of Hip-Hop cannabis strains such as ONYX's "SLAM," The Sugarhill Gang's "Sugarhill Delight," DAS EFX's "Googley Goo," Grandmaster Caz's "Casanova Fly", and many other exclusive cannabis products.

"Watching the museum grow from pop-up experiences, to induction ceremonies, to an art gallery, to a retail space and dispensary is truly a thing of wonder," Master Gee said in a statement.

The Grand Induction Ceremony will take place in Washington, D.C. on March 11.
