The Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon announced recently that he plans to open the Hashtoria cannabis lounge in Newark, New Jersey in the Four Corners Historic District at 799-805 Broad Street.
The dispensary, which is set to open in April 2023, will be Jersey's first cannabis lounge. The lounge will sell smoking marijuana, edibles, hard candy, baked goods and beverages. The name "Hashtoria" is a combination of hashish - another name for marijuana and Astoria, an Oregon city where a branch of the dispensary is located. New Jersey's Cannabis Regulatory Commission recently made the decision to allow customers to consume marijuana where it is sold in certain licensed locations, and this opening marks Hastoria's first east coast location.
