Legendary Philadelphia DJ Jazzy Jeff is a pillar of turntablism. Since his 1986 recording debut "Girls Aint Nothin' But Trouble" as one half of Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince Jeff Townes has displayed a skillset that is commonplace among Philly DJ's. Jeff has been busy as of late performing at the Philadelphia Eagles VS The San Francisco 49ers halftime show last night (1/29). Jeff also rung the bell at the 76er's game last week. Debuting on Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince's debut album Rock The House, "The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff" is a master class on transforming (which those outside of Philly didn't have a name for until this song), cutting and scratching. Ths was the song that put Jeff's name into the conversations about legendary DJ's at the time.
A Touch Of Jazz
Featured on Rock The House, "A Touch of Jazz" showcased Jeff's love and knowledge of Jazz music and his further mastery of modern day DJ techniques like transforming.

"Live At Union Square" appeared on Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince's sophomore album He's The Dj, I'm The Rapper. "Live At Union Square" was reminiscent of an old school "jam" where the MC highlighted the talents of the DJ.
