Nas celebrated the release of his latest album, King's Disease III, with an exclusive party in New York City on Friday (Nov. 11), where many of HIp-Hop's brightest were in attendance, including the usually elusive Andre 3000.

Obviously, Hit-Boy, who produced all three installments of the King's Disease series was in attendance, as was Joey Badass among others. Nas took time out to honor Migos' rapper Takeoff, who was killed earlier this month in Houston.

“We’re trying to tell these people out here, man, we’re here for a purpose,” Nas said. “We can’t be destroying each other over bullshit. Look at these little brothers and be like don’t shoot; don’t throw your life away. It ain’t worth it. There’s something to live for, something to be here for. All that tough shit is cool when you’re growing up, but we gotta learn that we’re here for a purpose, and there is a design that’s out here to make sure we don’t grow, to make sure that we don’t make it. And we gotta recognize that there is something in existence that’s trying to stop the youth from the hood from growing into its proper purpose.”

Following the release of his anticipated album King's Disease III, Nas has announced that he'll be performing a special one-night-only concert at Madison Square Garden. This will mark the first time he's performed at the venue.

The special one-night show is set to take place on Feb. 24 and will be produced by Live Nation. Tickets go on sale to the general public Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Chase cardholders will have early access to tickets starting on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. through Thursday, Nov. 17, at 10 p.m.
