Allen is no stranger to the music business himself, as he was Long Island's first emcee with a record deal, recording under the name Butch Cassidy. Allen was also Chuck D of Public Enemy's partner in the pre-P.E. mobile DJ unit known as Spectrum City; and a member of the 90s rap group 5-0.
"Digital Underground used to hump these blow up dolls on stage," Allen explained to JayQuan in a 2019 interview. "Back then, you could get locked up in certain states for imitating sexual acts." Allen recalled: "Once Pac was back from filming, he was about to be handcuffed right after one of their shows backstage. He said 'Aaron you gotta help me man, I canโt get arrested.' I said 'we canโt go either way from the stage, we need to go through the crowd.' I had to use a one inch punch to navigate Pac through the crowd, because even though he wasnโt famous yet, he was still a rapper. So I was clearing the way through the crowd for Pac and thatโs how I became his personal bodyguard for that tour. Pac was a cool dude bro, and Iโm fortunate to say that I knew him. He wasnโt a gangster like he would later be portrayed."
