CL Smooth and Peter Gunz have released their collaborative project, The Odd Couple. The 6 song EP contains production by Large Professor, D.R.U.G.S, Termanolgy, G-One, and Melks. The project is sonically Boom Bap, with the MC's showcasing the contrasts between each other. "Good Life" is produced by Large Professor, and he also spits a verse on the song which celebrates the finer things in life. The D.R.U.G.S produced title track is another stand out with the MC's trading verses over a soulful loop.

In recent CL Smooth news, the Mecca Don extended an olive branch to his former group mate Pete Rock on an episode of Drink Champs. "I think we could [work things out], if we keep it business. We don't have to have feelings anymore, just the feeling of wanting to win." Pete appeared on Sway's Universe, where he responded, "I just think he's best on his own," Pete explained. "Simple as that, I think he's good by himself. There's a million producers that'll do something with him, I'm good."
