Nate Dogg passed away in 2011 without a will, which caused complications in distributing assets among his children from different relationships. LaToya Calvin, Nate’s wife at the time of his death, nominated herself as the estate executor, causing a prolonged court battle with his children.
Dubbed The King of Hooks, Nate Dogg contributed to several classic Hip-Hop songs between 1992 and 2007. Nate got his start with Snoop Dogg and Warren G in a group called 213, and was featured on Warren G's breakout hit "Regulate". Nate has worked with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, Ludacris, Mos Def, Fabolous, and a host of others.
