Nas sold out Madison Square Garden on Saturday (2/25) at a historic concert where Slick Rick, AZ and Mary J Blige made surprise appearances. Nas' producer Hit-Boy also joined him on stage for a performance of "Michael and Quincy" from Kings Disease III. According to ROCK THE BELLS Radio personality Torae, Nas sold out the garden "by himself with no other acts on the marquee." Always one to give credit to his Queensbridge foundation, Nas appeared on a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and gave MC Shan props for the impact of his motivational closing verse on 1986's "The Bridge". "It was like the gospel", he said of the dedication to the legendary housing project. In further Nas news it was announced earlier this week that Nas and The Wu-Tang Clan will continue their joint New York State of Mind tour with shows kicking off in May in New Zealand and Australia followed by a June European tour.
