Lil Cease of the Notorious B.I.G.-mentored mid-1990s group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. was a guest on My Expert Opinion where he shared how his friend looked out for him in the early days.

"How many rappers you know did what he did?" Cease questioned. "On all levels, writing raps for them, helping you get your family right. My man sacrificed so much for me. He stayed in the studio for four hours writing ["Players Anthem"] for me. Cease went on to explain that he was Biggie's friend, but he wasn't a rapper, and that Biggie was able to use and groom him to fit the part later. "All I had to do was go into the room and memorize it."

He went on to explain that seeing Puffy say rhymes that were written for him by a ghostwriter made him more comfortable with saying B.I.G.'s rhymes.

"He made me feel comfortable doing that. The way he took rhymes, I'd take them. I'm taking shit from the best rapper ever, imagine me sitting in the room at 15 years old and the best rapper in the world is writing my rhyme. I could be out doing something else while he's taking time out of his life and situation to write for me."

Cease also revealed that he performed with Biggie for two years before the Junior M.A.F.I.A. released an album and he learned how to be a hype man and control a crowd in that situation.
