Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's collaborative project, Vultures 1 debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album was not released independently, only receiving distribution assistance from distributor Label Engine.

Billboard recently released a report of the duos estimated earnings from Vultures 1, and its estimated that they have so far walked away with $986,000 from this first installment. In 2020 Kanye posted his own series of new recording and publishing deal guidelines on Twitter. In the guidelines he advocates artist-friendly income splits of 80% to the artist, with transparent contracts and copyright ownership for the artist.

Billboard estimates that the lack of major label involvement in Vultures 1 means that Kanye and Ty are likely to take home more than Ye's suggested 80%. Label Engine advertises that their clients receive about 82.5 % of revenue, but clients of Kanye's magnitude are likely to push that number significantly higher.
