Freaknik, the legendary spring break festival based in Atlanta, is the subject of an upcoming documentary from ATL mainstay, Jermaine Dupri. Dupri posted on Instagram Wednesday (November 30), sharing that the doc was filming in Atlanta.
“This the first day of us shooting for the Freaknik documentary,” he says. “So everybody that missed freaknik, we gon’ show y’all what y’all missed.”
Freaknik originated in 1983 by the students of the famed AUC, (Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morris Brown College, and Spelman College). In the early 1990s, students from around the country began coming to the event.
