Raekwon The Chef has announced that he is releasing a new album this year,The Emperors New Clothes. "A year of growth and development", he posted to social media. "Lets win 2025, THE EMPERORS NEW CLOTHES. Time to serve the masses, this carefully sculpted shit!" The new project will mark Rae's 8th studio album, and his first since 2017's The Wild, though he teased a third installment of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx in 2020.

In other Raekwon news, the chef opened Hashtoria, the cannabis dispensary that he co-founded with Charlamagne Tha God and Bakari Sellers. The dispensary is now open at 799-805 Broad Street in Newark, New Jersey, marking a milestone for the city, and cannabis in the state.
