In addition to celebrating his 54th birthday on Dec. 4, Jay-Z hit another milestone, earning 19 gold and platinum RIAA certifications.

Jay earned 10 gold plaques for “Lucifer,” “Oceans” with Frank Ocean, “D.O.A.,” “Encore,” “Bam” with Damian Marley, “Lost One” with Chrisette Michele, “Family Feud” with Beyoncé, “Public Service Announcement (Interlude),” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love).”

His singles “Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” “The Story of O.J.,” “On To The Next One” with Swizz Beatz, “Part II (On The Run)” and “4:44” earned their first platinum certifications while “Holy Grail” is now 5x platinum and “Young Forever” and “Big Pimpin’” are both now 3x platinum, per Hypebeast.

Jay-Z is serving as a producer of The Book Of Clarence, which hits theaters in January. The film is directed by Jeymes Samuel and stars LaKeith Stanfield. The movie also stars David Oyelowo, Omar Sy, Benedict Cumberbatch, RJ Cyler, James McAvoy, and Alfre Woodard. Jay-Z has previously said that it's been in the works for about a decade.

“This story is about a young man who finds his faith through love and through wanting to become somebody in the world, which is the story of everybody," Jay-Z said. "Everyone wants to find love and everyone wants to leave this place having accomplished something, having left their mark that they’ve been here and hopefully affected the world in a positive way."
