Fans are speculating that Jay-Z may have a new album on the way soon.
There are a few possible clues that sparked the idea. One, is his relationship with the Brooklyn Public Library, which houses his Book of Hov exhibit. It was reported on Nov. 29 that Jay plans to auction off a signed, one-of-a-kind Pinel et Pinel black leather case, with proceeds benefitting the library. The case will include 13 metal library cards highlighting his 13 solo studio albums but since the item seems to have 14 slots, it's made some fans think that maybe it's a very subtle teaser for another Jay-Z project.
Then, there's the upcoming film, The Book Of Clarence. The film is directed by Jeymes Samuel and stars LaKeith Stanfield, with Jay serving as the project's producer. There's been speculation that Jay will release a solo soundtrack for the film, similar to his 2007 American Gangster project.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed. In the meantime, check out the trailer for The Book Of Clarence, which hits theaters on Jan. 12, below.
