On August 6, in Queens, N.Y.; Classic Hip-Hop was in full effect. The 2022 Rock The Bells Festival was nothing short of outstanding. And Rock The Bells' own Grandmaster Caz was basking in the day. The Hip-Hop legend shared his thoughts on a monumental show.

"Amazing," Caz answered when asked about the overall feeling at Forest Hills Stadium. "The hype has been building ever since we started announcing it. You know we on the radio every day. We've been talking it up every day. As the days get closer we've been counting 'em down. To be here is just the culmination of everything that's been going on for the last six months for us. But for LL and 'nem, the planning for this musta been at least two to three years."

The show rocked Forest Hills into the late hours Saturday night, with stellar performances from stars like Ice Cube, Rick Ross, Onyx, Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, The LOX, LL COOL J and more. Bun B hosted the Trill Mealz Food Court, featuring food from rapper-owned restaurants like Ghostface's Killa Koffee and Bun's own TrillBurger franchise.

For Caz, the day was one to bask in for Hip-Hop ownership and heritage. And he saluted the man who'd put it all in motion.

"First if all, to get the festival back to LL," said Grandmaster Caz. "Where it belongs. It belongs to LL. We up and running now! We back on the block like Quincy! I'm looking forward to many of these."
