Hip-Hop legend Roxanne Shanté hosted the Rock The Bells Festival, which was held in Queens, NY for the first time, much to the delight of the fans who packed Forest Hills Stadium to partake in the special celebration of culture.

The multitalented artist, who also hosts Have A Nice Day on Rock The Bells radio, showcased her skills on the mic throughout the day-long event, joking with the crowd, hyping everyone up, and generally commanding the stage as she's done for decades.

Shanté previously said she was excited to host the festival because it gave her a chance to "show how much I really love Hip-Hop." In addition to the rap icon hosting, the festival was stamped by energetic performances, a bustling Hip-Hop Food Court, and notable events, including Rock The Bells founder, LL COOL J, receiving a key to the city.

"See, that's the difference between the Rock The Bells Festival and any other festivals," she said in a recent interview. "Most festivals are thrown together by people who, you know, they pick some hot artists, but for us, this is more than that—this is a family reunion."

Catch Roxanne Shante's Have A Nice Day Monday-Friday at 4 p.m. on Rock The Bells Radio.
