A posthumous Gangsta Boo album is reportedly on the way.
TMZ reports the upcoming album will feature longtime friend and collaborator La Chat, Three 6 Mafia's Crunchy Black, Run The Jewels Latto, and Skepta. Drumma Boy, Nick Hook and Run The Jewels’ El-P contributed production, while DJ Paul, Juicy J, Metro Boomin and BeatKing are also set to contribute to the project.
"My daughter Lola was my only baby girl," Gangsta Boo's mom, Veronica Mitchell, said. "I was so proud when she would rap as a little girl. She became the Queen of Memphis and God brought her home to be with her daddy Cedric and her brother Derron. I miss her but I know she’s happy with them. I’ll always remember telling her GO GET THEM DOLLAS, but I had no idea how many people would love my baby girl. I’m grateful all y’all support my daughter. Thank you.”
A veteran in the rap scene, Boo worked with everyone from Run The Jewels, OutKast, Foxy Brown, Eminem, Gucci Mane, and The Game, to newer rap stars like Glo Rilla and Latto, who she recently collaborated with on "F*** the Club Up," late last year. Her posthumous album is reportedly due out on Aug. 7, which would have been her 44th birthday.
