Funkmaster Flex and Wu-Tang Clan are officially on good terms. In an Instagram post, Flex shared a photo of him and RZA, and apologized to the group for their 25-year beef.

“I wanna take this time to apologize to the @RZA and the entire @WuTangClan,” he wrote. “Almost 25yrs ago the group, me and Hot 97 had a disagreement that to me never got put to bed and I apologize! Looking back at this 20 sumthin years later… we gonna make up for the time we missed… The world’s greatest rap group and the world’s greatest radio stations are going to come together bring u something amazing!”

He didn't offer any details about what he might be working on with the legendary group, only teased the possibility of a collaboration of some sort. “RZA + FUNKFLEX + WUTANG = ????,” he wrote. “CREATIVE PROGRAM DIRECTOR! FUNKFLEX.” RZA replied with an open hand emoji.

Raekwon responded to Flex's apology, writing, “Nothing but love blackman! And that’s reciprical !!!!!" Masta Killa replied with, “Peace.”

The decades-long beef dates back to 1997, when Hot 97 allegedly issued an ultimatum to the group — either perform at Summer Jam or don't get your music played on the radio. Wu showed up, but Ghostface led a chant of "Fuck Hot 97" while on stage. Wu did play Summer Jam in 2013 but this is the first time they've publicly made amends.
