In an Instagram Live, Fat Joe joined a chorus of artists who are tired of fans coming to concerts, only to spend the entire time looking at their screens because they're too focused on recording to enjoy the moment.

In the clip caught by HipHopDX, Joe explained why folks are missing out when they do that. “If you go to a show, and you pull your camera out and you’re recording, you’re not really in the moment,” Joe said. “You’re recording what’s going on. You’re not enjoying it. If you know how to live in the moment. Put some fire signs if you understand what I’m saying. If you don’t then you lost, because this social media got n-ggas lost.”

Although he wants fans to set their phones down and enjoy their concert experience, last year he told ROCK THE BELLS that he doesn't plan on making new music for the time being.

"I don’t think I’m making music no time soon," he said. "It’s just focusing on media, TV and opening businesses. I have a lot of investments I’ve been doing and I’m looking forward to growing as an entrepreneur."
