When we talk about ways to bring in #DeLaDay, ROCK THE BELLS was in the building with the legends to bring it in in the best kind of way.

Last Night hundreds of fans and friends gathered at Webster Hall in New York to pay tribute to the iconic De La Soul, whose back catalog finally arrived on streaming platforms today following years of legal battles and back-and-forth with their old label. Not only did the iconic group's music arrive on streaming, but in a major win, they also regained their masters.

The gathering was a celebration of their hard-won victory, but also a dedication to group member Dave aka Trugoy, who recently passed away. From Q-Tip, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Dres of Black Sheep, Common, Dave Chappelle, and Justin Bieber, the list of familiar faces that graced the stage was almost never-ending. To top it off, the energy was flowing, the love was flowing and the vibes were nothing short of magical.

De La Soul performed several iconic records, moving the masses in awe, excitement, and glee. The biggest part of the night was at midnight when their first six albums (3 Feet High and Rising, De La Soul Is Dead, Buhloone Mindstate, Stakes Is High, Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump, and AOI: Bionix) officially began streaming worldwide. This is a huge pivotal moment for the group, music, and history of Hip-Hop.

What’s next for De La Soul? We can only imagine, with great excitement for more music, more performances, and a profound mark on history.

RIP, Trugoy.
