De La Soul's Trugoy the Dove was honored with a mural in Austin. Created by acclaimed artist Tristan Easton, the unveiling was marked by a celebration at the Museum of Graffiti’s inaugural “Art of Hip Hop” pop-up exhibition and featured a set by Maseo.

“I don’t normally post my sketch / mock-ups but this is a special occasion,” Austin wrote on IG prior to the unveiling. “This week I’m painting a tribute to the late, great #Trugoy of @wearedelasoul in #AUSTIN at the @museumofgraffiti – please come by and BRING DAISIES to frame the mural!!!"

As aforementioned, the unveiling event was part of the Museum of Graffiti’s inaugural “Art of Hip Hop” pop-up exhibition, which runs from March 10 to 28. The museum, located in Miami's Wynwood, is the world’s first museum dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of graffiti art. The Austin pop-up will "present the works of the photographers, album cover artists, logo designers, and graffiti artists who are responsible for the visual identity of the genre" and runs throughout March.
