In a recent interview with Boardroom, Cam'ron broke down the origins of his infamous pink mink, and the hefty price he's been offered for the jacket — $300,000 to be exact.

In the clip, Cam remembers purchasing the jacket over 20 years ago at Apollo Signature on 125th Street. And while the coat is instantly recognizable as one of his signature pieces, he says he's only worn the coat maybe three times. Originally, he bought it to wear at Fashion Week, and that's when the jacket took on a life of its own.

"After that, it got wild attention so I put it away," Cam recalled. "The coat has its own personality. People want to put it in museums, and people call me, 'Could you bring it with you?'"

People love it so much in fact, he says he was offered a whopping $300,000 for the coat. While he wouldn't rule out ever selling it, he says in that specific circumstance, "The people who offered it to me, I don't feel they deserved it." Basically, he's not into people buying the coat if they don't understand the history — he's not interested in some suburban kid buying it for his girlfriend who likes pink.
