Wu-Tang Clan has just added to their already incredible legacy — they've announced a Las Vegas residency.
“Wu-Tang Clan: The Saga Continues… The Las Vegas Residency” will kick off during Super Bowl weekend on February 9 and 10. Another pair of concerts will take place on March 22 and 23 with more dates to be announced in the coming months.
In an interview with Rock The Bells, where he just launched a radio show, Wu-Wednesdays, RZA talked about why preserving Wu-Tang's legacy is so important.
"Hip-Hop's 50th is something of course that we all celebrate around the world, something that's very appreciative that the culture has shown that it has perseverance," he said. "And then when you look at Wu-Tang at 30 years and see that perseverance as well, there's something parallel in that growth. You know, Hip-Hop, for me, has been my guiding light since the age of seven, you know? And at that time, Hip-Hop was a baby. You know what I mean? And so I grew up with that baby. Cause I'm a grandmaster in Hip-Hop now. It's important that we show and share our techniques to the next generation."
An artist pre-sale for the residency began today (use code CREAM). General tickets go on sale Friday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. PT via AXS. Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub.
