Harlem legend and Dipset member Cam’Ron linked up with Funkmaster Flex on HOT 97 to deliver a hard-hitting freestyle in true Cam fashion, bringing his undeniable charisma, punchlines, and wordplay to the mic. 

On Friday, Funk Flex shared the 6-minute long freestyle, which showed Cam’ron effortlessly spitting over two beats, perfectly tailored for his sound. The Harlem legend showcases his storytelling ability as he references everything from Tom Brady to TikTok memes, Cam proves he’s still an unfuckwithable emcee. 

The clip opens with Flex explaining that Dipset and The LOX laid the groundwork for the early Funk Flex freestyle series, only for Cam’ron to cut him off and ask for the beat to come on. 

“The whole shit is Flex, if they wanna go through all that, they can Google us, we did like 10,000 interviews. Throw the beat on. Let’s get to work,” Cam interrupted. “Niggas come up here and talk too much. Come on, man, we got shit to do, we got a flight to catch.” 

The last time Cam’Ron stopped by for a Funk Flex freestyle was in 2015 with the rest of the Dipset crew.

Recently, Dame Dash said that the sequel to the 2002 crime drama Paid in Full, which starred Cam’ron, is currently in production in Newark. In an interview in 2020, Cam’ron talks about the sequel, but if he would be in the film. 

"These are conversations that we talked about in the last few months,” Cam said at the time. “Actually, a couple hours ago, something we talked about [was] pertaining [to] Paid in Full 2. I don’t wanna say 100 percent ‘yes,’ but we’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1. … It’s definitely a conversation going on right now about that, 100 percent.”
