Trina has announced that her memoir is being released on October 8. "It’s time to tell my story. #DaBaddest is out October 8," she posted to IG. Da Baddest is published by Simon & Schuster and is described by the publisher as "An unforgettable story of coming of age in Miami, her inevitable rise to stardom, and her enduring legacy as a Hip-Hop icon."

According to a press release "Katrina 'Trina' Taylor, 47, grew up relatively sheltered by her mother and stepfather in Miami with an especially strong bond between Trina and her mom. Even at an early age, she knew she wanted to be a "powerful, successful and magnetic woman, a woman who was entirely self-reliant and independent,"

"Trina always understands the assignment. She knows how to adapt to evolving sounds, generations and trends without losing the core of who she is as an artist," Missy Elliott says in the book's foreword. Click here to preorder.
