Trevor Noah is set to return as host of the Grammys for the fourth consecutive year. The former Daily Show host started his run in 2021 following Alicia Keys' hosting duties in 2019 and 2020.
“I think it’s also important to acknowledge something. I’m hosting the Grammys,” Noah shared on his podcast (perVariety). “I’m excited about that, yeah, it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it is happening.”
Killer Mike, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Drake, and more are up for awards this year. SZA's SOS leads with the most nominations – the singer/songwriter earned nine nominations. Mike is up for two big nominations including 'Best Rap Album' for Michael as well as 'Best Rap Performance' for "Scientists & Engineers," his collaboration with Andre 3000.
This year, the Recording Academy cut the Big Four categories from 10 back down to eight nominees. Additionally, three new categories were added this year: Best Alternative Jazz Album, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best African Music Performance. The 2024 Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, February 4, in Los Angeles.
