“City of Gods," the lead single from Fivio Foreign’s album B.I.B.L.E., contains a feature from Kanye West with a hook sung by Alicia Keys. On April 7, Keys dropped the video for her solo version of the song, which features a cameo from Hip-Hop’s greatest storyteller, Slick Rick.

Alicia’s reworking is more piano driven with the synths and drums removed. The video features Key’s in and on her vehicle, with the city as a backdrop. She’s sporting Rick’s chunky signature jewels as she serenades the city.

Keys posted to social media: “This comes from my heart. For my city, for HERstory, for @fivioforeign_8fs, for @kanyewest and the INCREDIBLE and unforgettable moment I was able to experience with @theruler.”

Alicia also performed the song on a recent episode of Ellen. “City of Gods, Part II” does not appear to be connected to Fivio’s album, or a new album by Keys. Keys’ last full-length release was 2021’s Keys. "City Of Gods, Part II" is Keys' first release as an independent artist, as her contractual obligations to her record label ended after Keys, which was her eighth studio album.
