50 captioned his celebratory IG post: "In Da Club had officially reached Diamond - 10,000,000 singles sold. The 43rd Hip-Hop song to go Diamond. 121 songs of all times to do it. I feel good, I'm that thing 50 Cent. Diamonds are forever, that 50 Cent is no joke."
Erick Sermon of EPMD recently revealed to the My Expert Opinion podcast that he had an opportunity to sign 50 at one point. "When 50 was with Trackmasters he used to come to the house all the time and do songs," he said. "This was early 50, he was Def Squad." 50 eventually signed with Interscope Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath as well as Eminem's Shady Records in 2002.
