Since Shawna and Mia have been getting a lot of love on social media, an “old friend” from Shawna’s past (and episode 1), Francois Boom, who was the old producer she used to work with, DM’d her to meet up. She saw the message while she was with Maurice and he convinced her to go and stunt on him. And if you were wondering, yes they’re still hooking up and things are hot and heavy!

Over at Mia’s house, Lamont was trying to do their daughter Melissa’s hair but Mia ended up doing it because Lamont couldn’t get her edges right. They were having a very family-friendly morning and before Lamont left to take Melissa to school, he asked Mia on a date. She was hesitant about it so she told him she would let him know after rehearsals.

Shortly after, Mia and Shawna started practicing their set for their first live performance at a dance studio and things seemed to be going smoothly. Chastity came in with coffee and they talked about how they needed to execute the show but were interrupted by a dance team who came in and basically kicked them out as if they weren’t supposed to be there.

Back at the bar, Mia asked Shawna what she thought about her going on a date with Lamont and she immediately shut it down, telling her he never posted her or asked her on a date before she was poppin’, accusing him of on;y wanting to be back with her for the clout of it all. Also mentioning that he was now their producer and she wouldn’t want her to “be like Summer and London.” Mia pretty much agreed with her and they pinky promised that they were focusing on the group. 

Shawna was about to be late to meet with Francois so she was about to leave and Mia gave her a Christain Dior shirt to stunt on him a little more. They met at the bar and the first thing Francios mentioned was the Dior she had on. He continued to congratulate her on all her recent success and ordered some drinks for them but Shawna was stand-offish as expected. 

Francois seemed to be oblivious about Shawna’s dismay for him but after some drinks, reminiscent conversation and a few shots, she loosened up and they started getting along. However, things took a turn when Francois switched up and began talking about business, asking a lot of questions that Shawna didn’t know the answers to. And things got even more awkward when he clowned her for having Chastity as a manager. 

Then, Francois suggested they work together again and the conversation became an argument over what happened in the past. Shawna argued that he stole her song and shelved her when she didn’t listen to him about changing her vibe. And he rebutted telling her “you’re welcome” since everything he said that she didn’t do back then, she was doing now, and finally getting recognition. Shawna ended up storming out and called him a sell out.

The next day, it was finally time for Shawna and Mia to perform. They pulled up to the venue which happened to be a mansion and were escorted to a room upstairs for their dressing room. It was all settling in that this was their moment and they were nervous but excited all at the same time. 

While the ladies were changing into their performance outfits, Deja and Chastity’s other girls  pulled up to work a different part of the party, so Chastity was working two potential money angles. 

When Shawna and Mia came downstairs, the first person they saw was Timberland. Chastity fangirled out and asked him for a photo before even introducing Mia and Shawna. After getting a photo, then asking for the girls to get a photo, Timbo was turned off and walked away. Chastity completely ruined the encounter and Timberland complained to the host of the party claiming she had groupie energy. 

A couple hours later it was time for Mia and Shawna to perform and they killed the first song! As the second song was about to start, Shawna began to get emotional, and asked the DJ to cut the music so she could address the crowd. Mia was as confused as everyone else and Shawna broke out into her old type of raps, totally changing the vibe and mood. The crowd immediately died down and the embarrassment on Mia’s face was almost as hard to watch as watching Shawna tank the performance. The DJ ended up kicking them off stage and Mia stormed to the dressing room. 

Mia told Shawna she was wack for doing that on stage and left the mansion without her. She went home clearly upset and Lamont was there as he watched their daughter for the night. However, Melissa was sleeping and Mia seemingly wanted something good to come from the horrible end of her night so they ended up having sex all over the house. Afterwards, they cuddled up in the bed and Mia asked Lamont why he wanted to start dating again now, and he explained this was the first time it felt like they were on the same page. He expressed that he really wanted to see where their relationship could go and they both smiled and held hands.

Meanwhile, Shawna went home and posted her solo rap from the night, but got discouraged when people started to comment on it saying she seemed like she was on drugs and Mia should go solo. She quickly deleted the post and called Mia, but Mia didn’t answer. So she texted Maurice, for nearly the 5th time that night, and he didn’t respond either. 

This definitely isn’t how Mia, nor Shawna, imagined their first live performance going. What had the potential to be their biggest breakout moment, ended up being a hot a** mess! Shawna clearly let what Francois said get to her head, and Mia seems to be over the rap duo completely.
