“I say all this to let you know, although @pharrell and @kanyewest executive produced #ItsAlmostDry, it is your DNA, your fingerprints, and your spirit all over this muthafucka!! Thank you for everything, @diddy.”
In 2009, Clipse left Jive Records for Columbia and recruited Diddy’s in-house production team, The Hitmen, to work on their third studio album Til the Casket Drops, a departure from their previous work with The Neptunes. It’s Almost Dry premiered at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, projected to sell between 50,000-55,000 units in its first week, 4,000-6,000 of which will be in pure album sales.
