Salt -N-Pepa and Outkast join Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5, Public Enemy, NWA, LL COOL J, and Missy Elliot as Hip-Hop acts inducted into the prestigious hall. Salt-N-Pepa entered the scene in 1985 as Super Nature with "The Show Stoppa", a response to Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick's gargantuan summer hit, "The Show". They went on to release five studio albums between 1986 and 1997, influencing generations of female rap artists.
Outkast debuted in 1994 with Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik whick peaked at #20 on Billboard 200
and was eventually certified Platinum in the U.S. The duo went on to release five more studio albums, a compilation, and the soundtrack to Idlewild.
