AI continues to dominate online conversations, the news cycle and the world of music.

Recent AI renderings of popular songs with AI vocals from artists who were never part of those recordings are gaining popularity as the technology to create them continues to advance at a rate much faster than legislation can be created. A fake song by Drake and The Weekend titled "Heart on My Sleeve" recently went viral reaching Spotify, YouTube and other revenue generating sites, prompting Universal Music who distributes the music of both artists to demand that the songs be removed from those platforms as well as TikTok where it quickly earned over 9 million views before its removal.

According to CNN, Universal questioned "what side of history" the offending platforms want to be on. With Geoffrey Hinton the man dubbed "The Father of AI" resigning from his position at Google so that he can "speak freely about the dangers of AI," questions about the dangers and ethical usage of the technology continue to grow.

Here are some recent musical examples of artificial intelligence that currently have the internet talking.

1. The Notorious B.I.G. - "New York State of Mind"

AI Biggie sounds convincing over Nas' 1994 hit, with the cadence and phrasing greatly resembling the late King of New York. But some people are questioning whether these collaborations are necessary.

2. Michael Jackson - "Down For My Hittas"

This AI of MJ over a Master P hit is more humorous than anything, but earned a "wow" from Snoop Dogg, who shared the clip with his 80 million IG followers.

3. The Notorious B.I.G. - "Shook Ones"

Once again, the AI Biggie vocal does a good enough job of mimicking B.I.G.'s cadence and even breathing patterns, but some fans are questioning why we need a digital Biggie on a Mobb Deep track.

4. Kanye West - "In The Club"

Sounds a lot like Yeezy. The concern and question remains whether these songs will remain harmless online fun, or will slip through the cracks like "Heart On My Sleeve" before proper legislation can be implemented.
