Masta Ace was a recent guest on People's Party with Talib Kweli where they discussed the great Hip-Hop album releases of 1988, and why the year was so special.
"1988 was the year that you graduated from the University of Rhode Island, so your life is beginning," Kweli tells Masta Ace.
Talib then proceeds with a robust list of '88 Hip-Hop releases that include In Control by Marley Marl, Goin Off by Biz Markie, Straight Outta Compton by NWA, Follow The Leader by Eric B & Rakim, Born To Be Wild by MC Shan, It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back by Public Enemy, Long Live The Kane by Big Daddy Kane and several others.
"That's the foundation of the best Hip-Hop that has ever been created," Kweli says, to Masta Ace's agreement.
