J.J. Fad was celebrated in their hometown this weekend. On Saturday (June 11), the ladies who gave us "Supersonic" were given a major honor in Rialto, California. J.J. Fad has been given their own street name: "J.J. Fad Way" in Rialto. San Bernadino County officials handled the duties, as attendees at the ceremony showed love to the First Ladies of Ruthless Records.

“To be honored by your own city is the ultimate blessing,” MC JB said in an interview with HipHopDX.“We are honored and humbled to have received this street-naming by the city that raised us. We had so many family, friends and musical peers in attendance, which made us feel so loved."

Former N.W.A members DJ Yella and Arabian Prince were on-hand for the ceremony, as well as World Class Wreckin’ Cru’s Lonzo Williams and Cli-N-Tel. J.J. Fad broke big in the late 1980s on Ruthless Records, their single "Supersonic" was produced by Arabian Prince, and would help set the pioneering rap label in orbit.

“The mostamazing thing is that this is a legacy that will be here long after we are gone, which our grandkids and their kids can always cherish,” she continues. “Special thanks to Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., The City of Rialto and the County of San Bernardino. We are honored!J.J. Fad Way is here to stay. Now that’s Supersonic!”
