Jadakiss and Styles P know how to rock a crowd, and they got to kick it with some of their most devoted fans in NYC. Yonkers took over Union Square on Friday (Dec. 16) night, as two of the LOX's finest took the stage at Irving Plaza. Jada and Styles also hung out with fans during a "Smoke 'n Greet" during their sets at their co-headlining “Back to Back” concert series, which kicked off on this rainy night at the famous venue.

New York legalized marijuana for recreational use last year, in Oct. 2021, and Styles P celebrated the 20th anniversary of his stoner classic "Good Times" with his own live show this summer—one that also celebrated 4/20 pleasures. At the Irving Plaza show, VIPs got to hang out with the two Yonkers emcees and also got a goodie bag of their own. Jadakiss talked to ROCK THE BELLS about he and his LOX brothers' performance bonafides; mentioning that even 2021's much-loved Verzuz performance was something that comes natural to he and his groupmates, P and Sheek Louch.

"The whole Verzuz moment didn't feel as big to me as to the outside world looking in. It was just something I've done before," Kiss explained.

Sponsored by Altitude Cannabis Club, Higher Empire, RUT NY, Caviar Boutique, and Organically Connected, the show highlighted Kiss and P as masters of the “In and Out” rap style; pillars of East Coast rhyme and street rap mainstays. The "Back To Back" Concert was put on by Doubt x Belief for the first time; with Jadakiss and Styles P highlighting their distinctive style on classics like "Banned From TV" and "I'm A Ruff Ryder." Scott Burnhard hosted the night's event, and DJs Technician and Scram Jones keeping the night moving. And performances from Neek Bucks, Flawless, Nym Lo, Girll Codee, Brady Watt, The Hoodies, Haile Supreme, and Shanell Sharpe highlighted a strong cadre of NYC talent.

Kiss shared that the secret to his and The LOX's longevity has been brotherhood, not putting their turmoil in public for the world to see and resolving things as men and longtime friends. And as far as his own personal ethos? The gruff emcee made it clear how he keeps it all centered despite thriving in a sometimes-hectic industry.

"Do a lotta praying," Kiss shared. "That's something I encourage [in] all Hip-Hop artists. My best advice is praying. And keep your sanity."
