In a recent interview with Torae of Rock The Bells Radio, guest Ice Cube spoke about Lebron James, his son Bronny, and nepotism. "I think it's great that [Bronny's] Pop's did whatever he could do get him there," Cube said of Lebron James helping to secure a spot for his son with the L.A. Lakers. "That's what we should do as Fathers, do what you can to get your offspring to the next level."

Cube continued, "Now it's up to Bronny, Daddy can only do so much. Now it's up to him to prove that he belongs there. I don't fault Lebron in one instance for doing everything that he could to get him into the league. That's what everybody else is doing. Why can't he do it?"

Cube then pointed out America's historical hypocrisy concerning nepotism. "The system dont really want us thinkin' on that level, to help your children become successful. They call it nepo-babies. The whole world is built on that man. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us. I'd rather have a nepo-baby than a jobless baby."
