If you've never watched Bass & Bars, where bassist Brady Watts pairs up with a singer or rapper to deliver live acoustic versions of their classic songs, you're doing yourself a disservice. The latest episode features Havoc performing the Mobb Deep classic "Shook Ones Pt. II" and as producer Hit-Boy and dead prez's stic.man indicate in the comments, it's fire.

"It was an absolute pleasure working with this Legend, who not only spit this verse but made the beat," Watts says in the caption. "The instrumental alone is iconic like the song as it went on to become the sonic foundation for a slew of legendary freestyles (notably the 8 Mile battle rap scene, but the list is Deep). RIP to the God Prodigy. I pray he finds this performance thoro."

Watts recently launched Bass & Bars Records in partnership with DJ Premier and Ian Schwartzman, which will release each of the records on all streaming platforms, meaning each new episode and some of the older Bass & Bars audio will be available on various streaming services.

"This is especially important because each artist who participates will also regain ownership of their classic records for a brand new stream of income and future sync opportunities," Watts explained in a post announcing the label's launch.
