Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel brought out the LA Philharmonic and LL COOL J for a surprise performance at Coachella on Saturday (4/12). LL ripped through some of his biggest hits including "Mama Said Knock You Out", "I Need Love", "Murdergram Deux", and "Rock The Bells". Laufey, Maren Morris, Becky G, and Zedd also performed during the 50 minute set.

“LL Cool J has been invited for as many years as Coachella’s been around, and he’s never been to Coachella, as a guest or anything,” Joanna Rees, the LA Philharmic's vice president of programming told Variety. She said further, "And so it was Gustavo and the Philharmonic and this opportunity that is bringing him out to the desert."

In other LL COOL J news, his single Murdergram Deux featuring Eminem from THE FORCE is now eligible for gold certification after reaching sales of 500,000. "Murdergram Deux", the fourth single from THE FORCE was released on August 30 of last year and is the most streamed song from the project. "It's an important accomplishment, because it shows that anything is possible," LL told Rock The Bells. He continued, "It's proof that just because music isn't coming from the same three or four artists, it can still its audience."
