E-40 delivered some of his biggest hits on his recent Tiny Desk concert. In celebration of Black Music Month, Tiny Desk is highlighting anniversaries of albums that have influenced and shaped the course of music. 40 performed "Da Bumble", "Sprinkle Me", and "1-Luv" from 1995's In A Major Way. His set list also includes "Yay Area", "Captain Save a Hoe", "Tell Me When To Go", "Function", and "Choices".
40 Water as he is affectionately called carved out his own independent lane in the early 1990's with his Sick Wid' It imprint before joining Jive Records for distribution. With his own slang dictionary and unique cadence, 40 became a Bay favorite, and eventually a force in Hip-Hop the world over.
