DMC denies the Outkick report that he announced plans to run for President at Lionel Messi's Major League Soccer debut over the weekend (8/26).

DMC stressed to reporters that sporting events, concerts and museum's unite people and that he was "running for President starting today." DMC told All HipHop that his words were taken out of context.

“That’s so funny," he said. "That’s why media today is a joke. They just run with anything before even confirming it. I would never run for president. I get more done as a representative of all people. The point I was trying to make is the arts succeed where politics and religion fail."

Run-DMC played what was advertised as their last concerts at Yankee Stadium and the Rock The Bells Festival earlier this month. Additionally, he shared an exclusive new single with Rock The Bells on Hip-Hop's birthday, Aug. 11, called "Kingdom Come."

“[Jam Master] Jay would say, ‘We just getting started,’” he told Rock The Bells. “‘Let’s have some more fun. Tell the soundman to turn up the music.’ He would say people need to get back to dancing—stop standing around looking at and holding the goddamn phones. After all, 50 isn’t old—it’s experienced.”
