DJ Premier took to IG to praise the late great Guru on the 30th anniversary of their fourth studio album, Hard To Earn. "My Favorite Cover of all our albums. Guru asked me to name this LP," he posted. "He always comes up with dope titles so I didn’t think that I needed to, that’s his lane. We had a conversation and I said that being in this music business is HARD TO EARN. He says: THAT’S IT! You just named the album! I’m like: 'I did? The rest is chiseled history!"

Preemo continued: "Guru you’re always missed brother, and I will continue to protect your greatness the righteous way and no one will ever erase or shit on our hard work. I Love You For Life! S.I.P. ALWAYS ONE OF THE BEST YET!"

As he always does, Premier thanked Gang Starr co-founder Big Shug, and shouted out collaborators Nice & Smooth. "Although “DWYCK” was released in 1992 as the Unreleased B-Side to our single “TAKE IT PERSONAL”, (which was only available as a 12” Vinyl and Cassette Single) the label wouldn’t add it to our LP “DAILY OPERATION” so for our fans we made sure we made it available for this one which made sense to do."
