According to Billboard, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Bad Boy Entertainment founder has reassigned publishing rights to all Bad Boy artists.

Ma$e, Faith Evans, The Lox, 112 and the estate of the Notorious B.I.G. are amongst the artists who have signed agreements. Although a Bad Boy representative declined to disclose specific terms of the deal, sources close to the situation say that the decision came about after Combs turned down offers to sell the Bad Boy catalog.

Most parties have been contacted and have signed their offers bit there is still an ongoing search to locate others. Several former Bad Boy artists including The Lox, and most recently, Ma$e, have publicly accused Combs of practicing bad business. In a now deleted IG post, Ma$e wrote, "Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Bad Boy label. For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t … This is not Black excellence at all.”

Ma$e associate Cam'ron, leaked the news of the assignment of publishing rights in an IG post last week, while he was promoting his latest project, The Lost Files. "My ni**a murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff," he posted. "Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8."

Diddy recently shared the track listing for his upcoming project, The Love Album: Off The Grid, and announced its September 15 release date.

“Music is my first love and music has given me a second chance at life, so stepping back into the studio to make this album has been a soulful experience that brought me closer to myself and my purpose,” he said, per Global Grind. ”This album wasn’t created to feed an algorithm or be relevant with the trends of the times, it was created to touch souls and freely express my story with the best artists, writers and producers shaping the future of R&B.”
