Daz of Tha Dogg Pound Corrects Snoop Dogg's 2Pac and Nas Story

Snoop Dogg's recent comments revealing Nas was supposed to have a featured verse on 2Pac’s 1996 opus All Eyes On Me were a shock and a surprise to many fans. According to a story that Snoop shared with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN on a recent Drink Champs episode, Nas was supposed to feature on the posse cut “Got My Mind Made Up," but he was taken off of the song. Daz Dillinger of Tha Dogg Pound, who produced “Got My Mind Made Up,” refutes Snoop’s recollection in a video posted to Daz's YouTube channel.

"It's a lotta niggas out there been givin' wrong information," Daz says.

"I was lookin' at Drink Champs the other day, and Snoop was explaining about that Nas verse. Whole situation wrong! He was never, ever, ever, ever, ever on 'Got My Mind Made Up.' The original person that was on '...Mind Made Up' was me, Kurupt, Method Man, Inspektah Deck...Redman and The Lady of Rage. This is the song that he was talkin' about: 'Don't Stop Keep Goin.'"

Daz proceeds to play a snippet of "Don't Stop Keep Goin,'" reciting his verse, the verse from Nas and fellow Dogg Pound member Kurupt's—before ending with:

"Get ya information straight, dog! I'm the nigga that created all that shit. Anything that gotta do with that shit, I'm the producer. I'm the brains behind this shit. Anybody that come with them third party stories don't know what the fuck they talkin' about."

"I'm the creator, I know every story there is. They just hear about the stories, but they were never there. Nas dropped me two verses on this song."

Daz says that this song was recorded during his "Fuck Death Row" days and that everyone else had already left the label but he "stayed and gathered all the information up" and then left with his music. Daz then plays a second verse from Nas, proclaiming that it's from the compilation entitled The Last of The Pound, because it was originally the last music that they made for Death Row Records.
