Big Daddy Kane and Ghostface Killah were featured guests on the I Got Questions podcast where Kane revealed that he was originally a DJ before becoming an MC. "The first time that I fell in love Hip-Hop was 1977," Kane told Ghostface.

"My cousin Murdock took me to a block party in Roosevelt Projects and we saw Master D. People stopped dancing to see him, and I thought it was just a phenomenal scene."

Kane continued, explaining that seeing Master D inspired him to become a DJ. "I was a DJ first, then somebody broke in my grandmother's crib and stole my turntables. The dude that stole those turntables did me a big favor, cause I sucked at DJing."
