Andre 3000 is making a rare soundtrack appearance—but it may not be in the way you would expect.
The OutKast rapper is featured prominently on the soundtrack for A24's Everything Everywhere All At Once--but Three Stacks is not rapping, he's playing the flute. Andre is featured on four of the album's tracks: “My Life Without You,” “The Boxcutter,” “Dog Fight,” and “Pinky Fight.”
3000 has made headlines in recent years as fans have spotted the reclusive Hip-Hop star playing the flute in random public places like airports, parks and open markets.
The Everything Everywhere... soundtrack also includes “This is a Life" by David Byrne, and contributions from Randy Newman (“Now We’re Cookin”) and Moses Sumney. Experimental trio Son Lux detailed the soundtrack album, which they helmed for the sci-fi comedy. The project is scheduled for April 8.
A24 has become known for producing thought-provoking films, and Everything Everywhere... continues in that vein. The movie tells the story of an exhausted Chinese American woman whose scrambling to finish her taxes, which leads to an unexpected adventure across dimensions. The cast features Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
